PBS Series

The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross is a docu-series produced by PBS and featuring the voices of African Americans, Henry Louis Gates Jr. uncovers the history of African Americans from the moment they stepped of the boats of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Journeying through each major phase of American History, Gates researches and informs the audience of how African Americans were and the hurdles we had to traverse to get where we are now. This docu-series is a great primer for anyone who wants a refresher or primer of African American History, doesn’t know where to start in learning of our history, or just desires to know more.
