In just under 2 hours this documentary traces the powerful real story of the 1961 Freedom Riders. Filmmaker Stanley Nelson, takes viewers back to 1961 where more than 400 black and white Americas risked  imprisonment and even their lives  by traveling together in trains and buses, for 6 months, in order to actively protest the Jim Crow laws.
