Blacks’ Britannica (1978)
Documentary by PBS

Blacks’ Britannica is a documentary created in 1978 by PBS (Makers of The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross, and Arthur). It covers and investigates the lives of several working Class Black British people in the late 70’s, as well as several activists. Some research on this documentary revealed that it was heavily censored in the US and then outright banned in the UK, not much unlike most of the history regarding race here in the US. I would recommend this doc because it was educational, but also because of the story it doesn’t tell. There is much mainstream society hasn’t learned or wasn’t taught pertaining to race. This documentary is a huge example of that. You can watch it for free on Youtube.
